SIXT Car Rental at Naples Airport

At Naples International Airport, the offices of Sixt are located just outside the terminal. A free shuttle takes customers with a car hire reservation to offices and parking lots of the various car rental companies that operate out of Naples Airport. This shuttle is within a 30-meter walk of the terminal. It runs daily between the hours of 7.30 am and 11.30 pm. Naples' magnificent Palazzo Reale, the Royal Palace, is located at Piazza del Plebiscito 1, near the seafront. A palace, museum and art gallery, this tourist attraction was founded as a Royal Palace by Philip III of Habsburg, then the King of Spain. Building began in 1600 and today the Palazzo Reale is one of Naples' most popular tourist attractions. Amalfi and Positano, about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Naples, are perhaps at first glance unusual choices for walkers, but the views from the cliffs at the Amalfi coast are simply breathtaking. This coast offers walkers a network of trails, the best-known of which is the Footpath of the Gods that runs along a ridge linking Agerola, Bomerano and Nocelle. It takes between four to five hours to complete the walk, which affords walkers some of the finest views in Italy. The trail begins in Bomerano, ending in Nocelle, the uppermost part of Positano. There are some 1,500 steps downwards into the center of Positano at the end of the trail, so this is a trip for the very fit and young at heart!

From Amalfi it's also possible to go on boat tours to the Island of Capri or enjoy boat trips from Amalfi to Positano. Some of these boat tours make stops at important landmarks along the way, such as the Grotta dellos Smeraldo in Conca dei Marini, which lies about 4 km west of Amalfi. Named for its emerald waters, the cave is only partly inundated with water and can be entered with a boat. The return trip takes just an hour and a half.
